As part of the project “Guidance on Fire Safety Linked to the Electrification and Renovation of Buildings” (FS-REBuild)—prepared by the European Commission to support the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD)—project consortium is presenting the key points of the proposed guidance in a free webinar. During and after the webinar, attendees will be able to provide feedback and input on the findings and recommendations of the guidance.
Considerations on the following four topics will be presented:
- Solar installations – Grunde Jomaas, ZAG
- Insulation and other parts of the building envelope – Mohamad El Houssami, Efectis
- Energy storage systems – Ana Sauca & Karlis Livkiss, DBI
- Other technical building elements (e.g., heat pumps) – Olaia Aurrekoetxea Arratibel, Tecnalia
What will participants gain?
- Practical insight into the proposed new European guidance.
- Learn about the key fire safety challenges, regulatory gaps, and best practices identified through the project.
- Opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback that will inform the further development of the guidance.
