Opći napredak ljudske civilizacije kao nuspojavu povlači razne vrste zagađenja. Tako, s porastom broja stanovnika na planeti Zemlji, neminovno se povećava i broj motornih vozila. U svijetu se uveliko koriste vozila s motorima s unutrašnjim sagorijevanjem koja koriste neku vrstu goriva (benzin, dizel, LPG, …). Jedna od ideja o povećanju efikasnosti u radu motora sa unutrašnjim sagorijevanjem jeste i poboljšanja njegovog izduvnog sistema, odnosno u ovom slučaju redizajn zadnjeg prigušivača buke u automobilu / teretnom motornom vozilu. Ovo je nešto novo i trebaju se uraditi modeli, kako na računaru tako i stvarni modeli putem 3D printera kako bi se vidjelo, da li će novi dizajn dati željene rezultate.
A ono što se želi postići jeste smanjenje buke motora i ubrzanje protoka izduvnih gasova od motora. Želi se postići blagi potpritisak na kraju izduvne grane koji će olakšati strujanje iduvnih gasova koji nastanu nakon procesa sagorijevanja koji završi u cilindru motora.
Volio bih da se u ovaj projekat uključe i poznavaoci rada u CAD-u (CATIA V5, …) koji će ovaj model uraditi na računaru i testirati ga u mehanici fluida. Namjera je da središnji dio prigušivača buke u kojem se nalaze prepreke, priguše buku motora i neminovno uspore strujanje tih izduvnih gasova, vanjski dio prigušivača buke i dio izduvnih gasova koji bi prolazili kroz taj dio trebalo bi da ubrzaju strujanje tog dijela izduvnih gasova i na izlazu iz prigušivača buke se sastaju sa onim dijelom izduvnih gasova koji je usporen u središnjem dijelu prigušivača buke.
U prilogu se nalazi pdf fajl sa grubim dimenzijama modela koji je prema dimenzijama 3D printera dostupnog na CEPS, Kiseljak moguće uraditi.
E to ćemo i pokušati realizirati.

The general progress of human civilization as a side effect entails various types of pollution. Thus, with the increase in the number of inhabitants on planet Earth, the number of motor vehicles inevitably increases. Vehicles with internal combustion engines that use some type of fuel (petrol, diesel, LPG, …) are widely used in the world. One of the ideas for increasing the efficiency of the internal combustion engine is to improve its exhaust system, or in this case, redesign the rear muffler in a car / truck. This is something new and models need to be made, both on the computer and real models via 3D printers in order to see if the new design will give the desired results.
And what is wanted to achieve is a reduction in engine noise and an acceleration of the flow of exhaust gases from the engine. The aim is to achieve a slight negative pressure at the end of the exhaust branch that will facilitate the flow of exhaust gases that are created after the combustion process that ends in the engine cylinder.
I would like to involve experts in CAD (CATIA V5, …) in this project, who will create this model on a computer and test it in fluid mechanics. The intention is that the central part of the muffler, where the obstacles are located, will dampen the engine noise and inevitably slow down the flow of these exhaust gases, while the outer part of the muffler and the part of the exhaust gases that would pass through that part should accelerate the flow of that part of the exhaust gases and at the exit of the muffler they meet the part of the exhaust gases that is slowed down in the central part of the muffler.
Attached is a pdf file with the rough dimensions of the model, which is possible to make according to the dimensions of the 3D printer available at CEPS, Kiseljak.
